Maintain film integrity and preserve quality

To prolong the life of your RX-8 Protection Film, we recommend the following standard of care.

Maintenance:

Regularly clean the gap between thefilm and the watch with a soft-bristled toothbrush dipped in dishwashing detergent or hand soap. Brush gently, taking extra care on the edges of the film. Rinse thoroughly to prevent grit or detritus from abrading the film or watch. Gently and carefully keeping it clean will extend the life of your watch and your protection film.

Wear after dressing:

Put on your watch after you’ve dressed to avoid friction and prevent the corners from peeling.

Avoid non-colour fast materials:

Be cautious of fabrics and other materials which may bleed or transfer colour onto your watch. To ensure you do not discolour your watch and its protection film, only let your watch come into contact with high quality clothing, watch boxes and watch winders.

Settle-in period after fitting:

Avoid wearing your watch for the first 24 hours after applying the protection film. Keep it in its case or a safe space to allow the protection to fully adhere. After the initial 24 hours, wearing the watch will allow your body heat to evaporate any small bubbles.

If you notice bubbles or moisture under your film, do not attempt to remove these. They will dissipate by themselves, typically within 7 days. If you try to manually squeeze them out or adjust the film, this may damage or dislodge your protection film installation. So, please be patient and let your watch protection film settle in without disruption.

Warranty:

If the film is damaged within the warranty period, you can bring your physical warranty card or a digital copy of it to the store for film replacement under warranty.

Material costs incurred in replacement of the film within the warranty period is free, but labor costs may be charged.
