The 2020 Blue Dial 'Skyflake' 40mm SBGA407 from Grand Seiko is a beautiful timepiece. The blue dial of this 40mm case and bracelet is reminiscent of Shinshu snowflakes. Using a technique called "Miyagashima," we can achieve a snowflake-like texture on the dial by layering various shades of blue.
The 9R Spring Drive movement in this Grand Seiko ensures accurate timekeeping and a fluid motion of the seconds hand. The watch displays a power reserve of up to 72 hours.
The 'Skyflake' model, like all Grand Seiko watches, is finished with meticulous attention to detail. The movement is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, and the case and bracelet have been polished to a mirror finish using the Zaratsu technique.
